AJBuy ("AJBuy", "we", "us", or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the rights available to you. It applies to ajbuy.com, the AJBuy web and mobile applications, and all related services (the "Platform").

AJBuy is the controller of the personal information described in this Policy. Because AJBuy is a cross-border shopping agent, using the Service necessarily involves transferring certain information to parties in China and to international carriers and customs authorities. Please read Sections 5 and 6 carefully.

Account data: name, email address, password (stored hashed), phone number, country, preferred language and currency.

Order data: product links, listing details, variant selections, quantities, and any special instructions you submit.

Shipping data: recipient name, delivery address, postal code, contact telephone number, and any identification or tax number required by your destination country for customs clearance.

Payment data: billing name and address and transaction identifiers. Full card numbers are collected and processed directly by our payment processor and are never stored on AJBuy systems.

Communications: messages, support tickets, dispute evidence, photographs, and attachments you send us.

Affiliate data: where you join our referral program, your payout details and referral performance data.

Device and connection data: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device identifiers, and app version.

Usage data: pages and products viewed, search terms, session duration, referral source, and in-app events.

Cookies and similar technologies, as described in Section 4.

Approximate location derived from IP address, used for currency, language, and shipping-rate defaults.

Order, tracking, weight, dimension, and quality inspection media from our warehouse and logistics providers.

Transaction outcomes, fraud signals, and chargeback notices from payment processors.

Tracking and delivery events from international carriers.

Aggregated campaign metrics from advertising and analytics platforms.

We do not intentionally collect special category data such as health, biometric, racial or ethnic origin, political, or religious information, and ask that you not submit it. Where a destination country requires an identification document for customs clearance, we collect and transmit only what that authority requires.

To create and administer your account and authenticate your access.

To perform the purchasing, inspection, warehousing, consolidation, and forwarding services you instruct — including transmitting your recipient details to Sellers, warehouse providers, and carriers.

To process payments, issue invoices, apply wallet balances, and process refunds.

To prepare customs declarations and comply with export, import, sanctions, and tax obligations.

To provide order status updates, inspection media, shipping quotes, and transactional notifications.

To respond to enquiries, investigate disputes, and pursue claims with Sellers, carriers, or insurers.

To detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, chargeback abuse, and misuse of the Platform.

To operate our affiliate program and calculate commissions.

To analyse and improve the Platform, our pricing, and our shipping options.

To send marketing communications where you have consented or where permitted by law, with an opt-out in every message.

To comply with legal obligations and to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

Where the EU or UK General Data Protection Regulation applies, we rely on the following legal bases:

Performance of a contract — to deliver the Agent Service you requested, including cross-border transfer of shipping details.

Legal obligation — customs, tax, anti-money-laundering, and sanctions compliance, and statutory record retention.

Legitimate interests — fraud prevention, platform security, and service improvement, balanced against your rights.

Consent — non-essential cookies, marketing emails, and any optional feature where consent is requested. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior processing.

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your cart and preferences, measure traffic, and attribute affiliate referrals. Categories used are strictly necessary, functional, analytics, and attribution. Strictly necessary cookies cannot be disabled without impairing the Platform.

Where required by law we request your consent before setting non-essential cookies and provide a means to change your choices. You may also block or delete cookies through your browser settings and limit advertising identifiers through your device settings, though some features may then not work correctly.

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as necessary to deliver the Service or comply with law, with the following categories of recipient:

Marketplaces and Sellers in China — to place and fulfil your purchase. Sellers receive the warehouse delivery address, not your international address.

Warehouse and logistics providers in China — to receive, inspect, store, consolidate, and dispatch your Parcel. These providers receive your recipient name, international address, telephone number, and declaration details.

International carriers and their local delivery agents — to transport and deliver your Parcel and provide tracking.

Customs and border authorities in China, transit countries, and your destination country — as legally required for export and import clearance.

Payment processors — to authorise and settle payments, process refunds, and manage disputes and fraud screening.

Technology providers — cloud hosting, databases, email and notification delivery, error monitoring, customer support tooling, and analytics.

Development and support contractors — under confidentiality obligations, with access limited to what their work requires.

Professional advisers, insurers, and, where required, regulators, law enforcement, or courts.

An acquirer or successor entity in connection with a reorganisation or sale of the business, subject to this Policy.

Providers acting on our behalf are engaged under written terms requiring them to process personal information only on our instructions and to apply appropriate security measures.

Your personal information is transferred outside your country of residence, including to the People's Republic of China, where our sourcing, inspection, and fulfilment operations are located. Data protection law in those countries may differ from, and may offer less protection than, the law of your own country.

Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers, including Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent mechanisms, or on the necessity of the transfer for performance of the contract you have asked us to carry out. By instructing us to purchase and forward goods from China, you acknowledge that transfer of your recipient details to China-based providers and to carriers is inherent to the Service. You may request further information on our transfer safeguards at admin@ajbuy.com.

Account and profile data: for the life of your account and up to twenty-four (24) months after closure, to handle late claims and abuse prevention.

Order, payment, and customs records: for the period required by applicable tax, customs, and commercial law, and in any event not less than seven (7) years.

Quality inspection photographs and video: up to twelve (12) months from publication to your account, after which they may be deleted.

Support communications: up to twenty-four (24) months from the last message.

Marketing consent and suppression records: as long as necessary to honour your opt-out.

Server and security logs: typically ninety (90) days, longer where an incident is under investigation.

When information is no longer required we delete it or irreversibly anonymise it. Anonymised, aggregated statistics may be retained indefinitely.

We apply technical and organisational measures appropriate to the risk, including encryption in transit, hashed password storage, least-privilege access control, monitoring, and confidentiality obligations for staff and contractors. Card data is handled by PCI-DSS compliant processors and does not reach our servers.

No system is perfectly secure. You are responsible for choosing a strong, unique password, keeping your credentials confidential, and notifying us promptly of any suspected compromise. Where a personal data breach is likely to result in a risk to your rights, we will notify you and the relevant authority as required by law.

Subject to your jurisdiction and to applicable exemptions, you may have the right to:

Access the personal information we hold about you and receive a copy.

Correct inaccurate or incomplete information.

Request deletion of your information, subject to our legal retention obligations.

Restrict or object to processing based on legitimate interests, including direct marketing.

Receive your information in a portable, machine-readable format.

Withdraw consent at any time where processing is consent-based.

Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

To exercise any right, contact admin@ajbuy.com from the email address associated with your account. We will respond within the period required by applicable law, generally thirty (30) days, and may request additional information to verify your identity. Deleting information necessary to complete an in-progress order may prevent us from delivering that order.

The Service is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18 years of age, or under the age of digital consent in their jurisdiction. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact admin@ajbuy.com and we will delete it promptly.

The Platform links to third-party sites, including Marketplace listings, carrier tracking pages, and payment provider pages. Those sites are governed by their own privacy policies and are not under our control. We encourage you to review them before submitting information.

We may update this Policy from time to time. The revised version will be posted on the Platform with a new "Last updated" date. Where changes are material we will provide notice by email or in-account notification before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date indicates acceptance.
